Board Member Roles

President: 

  • General supervision, direction, and control over the activities and affairs of the Club
  • Coaching liaison, single point of contact for coaches
  • Leads staff search committees
  • Ex-officio member of all committees
  • Represents Club interests to Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League

1st Vice President:

  • Develops relationships with the Allen ISD facilities coordinators
  • Scheduling requirements for the use of school facilities for the Club
  • Assume duties as assigned by the Executive Board
  • Back up to President and Treasurer in event of absence / vacancy

2nd Vice President:

  • Update policy and procedures manual
  • Facilitate corporate sponsorship, conflict resolution, volunteering and fund raising
  • Assume duties as assigned by the Executive Board
  • Backs up the Secretary in event of absence / vacancy

Treasurer: 

  • Chief accounting and financial officer of the Club
  • Supervise the auditing and accounting practices of the club
  • Oversee all matters pertaining to taxation and the Club
  • Oversee preparation of annual budget with reporting duties at each meeting
  • Chairman of Budget Committee
  • Assume duties as assigned by the Executive Board

Secretary:

  • Keep the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors
  • Give all notices in accordance with By Laws
  • Maintain permanent records for each player
  • Responsible for advertising, newsletters, community communications and player handbooks
  • Responsible for inventory of the Club’s equipment and alerting the Board to needed replacements
  • Assume duties as assigned by the Executive Board

Event Coordinator:

  • Responsible for coordinating all social activities, team events, tournaments and banquets agreed upon by the Board
  • Assume duties as assigned by the Executive Board

Community Liaison: 

  • Recruitment of players
  • Promotion of Allen Lady Eagles Lacrosse brand and team
  • Liaison to the Allen Lady Eagles Lacrosse Youth Program and area sports associations
  • Assume duties as assigned by the Executive Board    


Election of Directors:

Held annually at Spring Banquet. Freshman parents may be elected to the Board of Directors, but votes are restricted to Class A members only per By Laws.

 It is critical that we have parents involved so if you are compelled to help the program, please consider a position on the Board of Directors or working closely with them on a committee to enhance our girls' lacrosse experience. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the "Board Member Roles" and email the Board with your name and what position or committee you are interested in. 

Membership

Class A - 1 guardian of an athlete, subject to payment of annual dues as set forth by the Board. Class A members in good standing are entitled to 1 vote per paid player, are eligible to hold office or serve on standing committees including role as committee chair. 


Class B - Any adult interested in lacrosse subject to payment of annual dues not to exceed $50. Class B members in good standing are not entitled to vote and may not hold office. Class B members may serve on a standing committee but may not chair the committee.  


Class C - Players and Coaches. Class C members in good standing are not entitled to vote and may not hold office. Class C members may serve on a standing committee but may not chair the committee.
